This facility represents a technological milestone by combining photovoltaic power generation with state-of-the-art energy storage systems, directly contributing to the climate objectives of Spain and the European Union.<\/span><\/b><\/p><\/div><div><p>A decisive boost thanks to <b>NextGenerationEU Funds<\/b><\/p><\/div><div><p>The implementation of this project has been made possible thanks to financial support from the European Union through the Recovery and Resilience Facility (NextGenerationEU). The project has been developed within the framework of Spain&#8217;s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), managed by IDAE, receiving a grant that has been instrumental in bringing one of Mallorca&#8217;s largest renewable energy facilities to fruition.<\/p><\/div><div><p>The financial details of the project are as follows:<\/p><\/div><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Total investment<\/strong>: \u20ac13,451,781<\/li><li><strong>Public funding awarded<\/strong>: \u20ac5,327,598.18<\/li><\/ul><div><p>Innovation and Technology: Power Generation and Storage (BESS)<\/p><\/div><div><p>The Son Ripollet project is an intelligent energy system designed to provide stability and flexibility to the island&#8217;s electricity grid. The facility consists of two fully integrated technological components:<\/p><\/div><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>9.5 MW Photovoltaic Plant<\/strong>: A large-scale facility with a peak capacity of 10.23 MWp, comprising 14,616 solar panels rated at 700 Wp each and 30 state-of-the-art inverters.<\/li><li><strong>Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)<\/strong>: The plant is hybridised with an energy storage solution featuring a nominal power output of 4,390 kVA and a storage capacity of 8,780 kWh. This lithium battery-based system enables clean energy generated during the day to be stored and fed into the grid during periods of high demand, maximising the efficient use of solar resources.<\/li><\/ol><div><p>Sustainability and Protection of the Local Environment<\/p><\/div><div><p>Son Ripollet stands out for its commitment to environmental protection, generating 17,313 MWh of clean energy annually.
