The project involves the engineering, construction, and commissioning of a power plant, including the installation of three propane-fueled Bergen B36:45V20AG engines. With a combined electrical output of 25,245 kW, the plant is designed to meet the island’s growing demand for electricity.
Key equipment includes self-supporting exhaust stacks, dry coolers for the water cooling systems, compressors and compressed air cylinders, engine room ventilation, lubricating oil tanks, and a fire protection system with detection and suppression capabilities.
Modernizing the Island’s Energy Infrastructure
Powered by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the 25 MW plant represents a significant step in modernizing the island’s energy infrastructure, improving system reliability and meeting growing demand.
