Engineering and Design
The project involved detailed engineering for a power plant equipped with nine high-efficiency BEAS B36:45 V20AG1 engines, each rated at 11.34 MWe, along with all auxiliary equipment, including the emissions reduction and control system. The scope also included a 138 kV high-voltage substation and a gas pressure regulation and metering station.
The main challenge was designing the plant to withstand Alberta’s extreme temperatures, which can drop to −40°C in winter.
